A video deposition is a recorded statement given under oath by a witness or party in a legal case. It is similar to a traditional deposition, which is taken orally by a court reporter or stenographer, but a video deposition is recorded on video. The video deposition is a legal record of the testimony of the witness, it is taken in order to gather information and evidence that can be used in a trial or other legal proceeding.

In a video deposition, a legal videographer is typically present to record the testimony on video. The deposition may take place in a conference room or other location, and the witness is usually sworn in by an attorney or other authorized individual. The attorney or other representative of the party requesting the deposition will then ask the witness a series of questions, and the witness must answer the questions under oath.

The questions in a deposition can be wide-ranging, covering various aspects of the case, and the questions may be intended to elicit testimony that can be used to support the party's position in the legal case. The deposition is conducted under the supervision of an attorney, and the attorney may object to certain questions if they believe the question is improper or irrelevant.
During the deposition, the Legal videographer will be recording and creating a full documentation of the deposition session. This video deposition can be used as evidence in court if the case goes to trial, and it can be used by attorneys to prepare their case and to impeach the testimony of the witness if they testify differently at trial.

It's important to note that the video deposition is taken under oath and is considered a sworn testimony, The person giving the deposition is required to answer truthfully all the question, also the video deposition can be used as a evidence in the court of law.
